![]() Use this component to start or stop the current background audio. You can upload the audio file within your component or via the Stimuli tab. The Background Audio component allows you to play audio in the background. If you have Advance turned off, you can have Always Finish turned on at the same time, so even though it's the response that advances the screen, not the audio, the audio needs to finish playing before the screen advances. If set, delay the screen advancing until the audio has finished playing. When you don't have the Advance option turned on, you can advance the screen using a different component, for example, a Click to Continue or just a Click or Keyboard Response. If set, advance the screen when the audio finishes playing. This is helpful, for example, for an audio feedback scenario. This way you can trigger audio on some event rather than automatically on start. ![]() If it is not set, there are a few ways you can activate the audio, for example, via the Trigger Active component added to other objects of your screen. If set, the audio will start playing automatically at the start of the screen. If you want to play an audio which has previously been written to the Store, you can bind this to a value from your Store. If you want to set up a Manipulation in your Experiment Tree, you can bind this to a value for a Manipulation. ![]() If you want the audio to change, depending on different screens, you can bind this to a value in your Spreadsheet.
